Something old, something new

I was doing some spring cleaning and in the process I was going through my old photography gear. I dug up this little ol’ gem which I forgot I had purchased for one of my older cameras. It’s the Canon Extension Tube - EF 25 II. I must of packed it away as I didn’t really know how to use it back then so it was nearly lost and forgotten. Low and behold, I thought I’d dust it off and give it another go with my current set-up for product photography.

I must say, I am impressed! Whilst the compositional range is quite limited if you want to fit a lot in, what it can achieve is one defined, big, bold and detailed macro shot.

I can only really use it with my 50mm lens, so it limits that range even further, but it really turns a fixed focal lens into a specialist, one-type hero shot lens.

This IG reel I created has racked up more than 700 likes and counting! Stranger things do happen :)

Below are some shots I took for The Wine Collective.
